Ricochet (/ˈrɪkəʃeɪ/) is an open source messenger based on Tor network. It can be used on Linux, macOS, and Windows.

TorChat and Tor Messenger are dangerous because their developers abandoned them so there is no security update.

A Tor binary is included with a Ricochet package.

Its 16-digit ID composed of numbers and English alphabets is similar to TorChat because it's standard on Tor network. But it has prefix ricochet: on its ID, such as ricochet:rs7ce36jsj24ogfw.
